So its been a while since I have bothered to post anything on DA, so I flooded my gallery recently. By now most of my watchers probably forgot who I am. XD
But anyway, if you have bothered to look at my most recent drawing
[link] you will see that I am planning on making a webcomic very soon. The name of it is Synth Faktory, and I am very, very excited. As I make characters, I want to practice sequential panels by making a mini-comic biography of each character. Then we will see from there how well I will be able to plan out a whole comic. Its all very exciting.
I had my doubts on whether or not I could do it though, so I was reluctant to really start into it. However, at Jafax today (anime convention at GVSU in Michigan) I met the most influential teachers I have had in my life once again. I was surprised and flattered that they not only remembered me, but told me that I was one of their students that really stuck out in their minds. I told them about the comic I want to start (They are both comic artists) and they encouraged me to do it, saying they would love to see me do something with my talent. Needless to say, this has given me the drive to actually put this comic into motion, rather than idly planning it out when I feel like it.
If you are wondering who these amazing artists are, please check them out:

and

I can honestly say that without their guidance, support and influence, I would be no where as good of an artist as I am today.

So I wanted to get your opinions on some things as far as my comic goes:
How often should I make colored pages? I am not sure I have the energy to make every page colored.
How often and on what days should I release new pages?
Once I have a fan following, what sort of merchandise should I sell 8D ?
Also, I want to participate in Artist Alley at Jafax next year, but there are a lot of different things I could sell. I was wondering what sort of things you are more prone to buy from artists at a con. I was thinking of making stencil shirts, buttons, bookmarks, keychains, prints, and maybe... MAYBE if I get enough pages... a printed copy of my comic. What else could I sell? I need ideas so I can start planning! XD
